Our Classes

One of our core beliefs at Gun Gallery is education and training. The more responsible and knowledgeable gun owners are, the more secure of a society we will have. We strive to make those of you that have never owned a firearm before or are scared of the thought of using a firearm feel more comfortable and confident in the use of firearms. This is why we offer a variety of classes for all levels of knowledge and experience.

Concealed Weapons Class

The state of Florida allows for legal carry of a handgun and some other weapons, concealed from view by licensed individuals. Florida has made this license easy to obtain by law abiding, trained individuals. A concealed weapons class provides the required training, and is the first step in obtaining the license. Once you have the certificate of completion for the concealed weapons class you can make an appointment with the Florida Department of Agriculture to apply for the license. While at this appointment you will fill out an application, and they will take your fingerprints and photo. Once done with the appointment all you have to do is wait for them to mail you your license. It’s very easy.

Our concealed weapons class is conducted on Wednesday evenings starting at 7:00PM. Space is limited so you must sign up and purchase the class in advance. Please call or come in to sign up for the class. Our class is taught by Dan, an NRA certified instructor that has taught for over 15 years. This class does require firing a handgun. If you require a handgun for the shooting portion of the class we will provide you one out of our rental case for no charge, but you will be required to purchase a half a box of ammunition for that handgun. If you are unsure of the handgun you would like to try in the class, let us know, we are more than happy to assist. If you have your own handgun and would like to shoot in the class you may bring your own ammunition or purchase a half of a box from us. The class takes a little over two hours to complete, and costs $60. Some new shooters may be a little nervous about the shooting portion, and we understand. During the shooting portion we have plenty of instructors and range officers to help you out.

The New Shooters Course

The new shooters course caters to those that have never fired a gun before or have very little experience. Dan is our instructor and he has been an NRA certified instructor for 15 years. The new shooters course is a private class, only you or your group will be in the classroom and on the range. We can accommodate one on one classes or private groups up to 4 students. This class spends much more time on the range than the CWP class and with the smaller class size classroom time is even more productive. The new shooters course is a great class to take before taking the CWP class. The class is held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and starts at 6:00PM. Like the CWP class, you must sign up and purchase the class in advance. The class is $100 for an individual or $75 per person for groups of 2 to 4 students.

Intermediate Shooters Class

This is an ideal class for those that have taken the New Shooters Class, or those shooters with some experience that want to go to the next level. Some shooting experience is required for this class. This is NOT a learn to shoot class. Classes will be held on the second and fourth Wednesday from 7:00PM to 9:00PM and is limited to two people per class. Price is $100.00 per person.

Please note- there are NO Refunds on the CWC and New Shooters/Intermediate Course, however, we allow (1) free reschedule. We ask that you please give as much advance notice as possible.
